Spike of Interest
Click here and you’ll see the exciting, 20-times-manlier logo for the Spike Network. It has a quasi-military feeling, like seargent’s stripes; and it features a phallic, if uncomfortably short, spike. Interesting.
I didn’t know Spike was doing so badly that they’d try a logo change. You’d think that it’s a no-brainer to put together a slate of shows that appeal only to men - action movies and swimsuit models, 4 hours a day, repeat. Considering how low they’re aiming, their logo could be a blob with an S in it and men would watch, if the programming was right. Maybe a series about a pair of hot chick commandos who celebrate every successful mission with a long but tasteful basic cable kiss. Maybe an hour of beautifully photographed red meat.
