Watch Superman For Free, Fight Paralysis
To coincide with Warner Bros’ release of “Superman Returns,” ReelTime today announced it will make “Superman, The Lost Episodes” available to the public for viewing at no cost. For every time the series is watched, ReelTime will make a donation to the Christopher Reeve Foundation (CRF). So to sum up: you download free entertainment, a charity gets money. Way cool.
This collection of wartime-era Superman classic cartoons produced by Famous Studios in the 1940s. Today they are of historical significance because they were the first, the most lavishly produced, and the most faithful to the printed comics. There is also a bonus Mighty Mouse cartoon at the end. “This is a way for people to really pay tribute to Christopher Reeve and his legacy,” suggested Maggie Goldberg VP of Public Relations for the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
Beverly Zaslow, ReelTime’s VP of Business Development, said “We are pleased to make these historically significant shows available for viewers around the world to enjoy, and are happy that at the same time we can help support the Christopher Reeve Foundation’s important work in finding treatments and cures for paralysis.”
Look, even if you don’t want to watch, set your computer to download this stuff while you wait in line to watch SUPERMAN RETURNS. It’s the American Way.
