Movies Are Smaller Than Ever

A new Gizmodo poll asks if you would pay $4-6 bucks to download and watch feature-length films on your Sprint phone. Sprint announced the service today and is offering films from Buena Vista, Sony, Universal and weirdly, Lion’s Gate. It’s certainly not everything from those studios. In fact if you like the immersive experience of watching movies, these are movies that you would NOT want to be immersed in.

  • LARRY THE CABLE GUY
  • FIRST KNIGHT
  • HERBIE: FULLY LOADED
  • AMERICAN PIE 2
  • DANTE’S PEAK

…and so on.

I don’t know,. the idea of propping up my phone and staring at it for 2 hours doesn’t really appeal to me. What am I missing? It’s working for the iPod. If you are salivating for this, let me know why.
