NBC Can’t Blame Bob Wright For This

I read the top ten ratings on the weekly podcast (see previous entry) but I don’t go in-depth, which is how I missed this - not only were several series at their lowest rating all season, but NBC had its lowest weekly overall numbers since 1991.

The weekly average breaks down as follows:

CBS (11.5 million, 3.2/9); Fox (9.7 million, 3.8/11); ABC (9.3 million, 3.0/9); NBC (7.1 million, 2.2/6); The CW (2.6 million, 1.0/3); and My Network TV (1 million, 0.4/1).

And there’s your good news for NBC! It bested both the CW AND My Network TV. The latter, of course, is not available in your area.  Or it is, but you just haven’t looked for it.

CBS continues to ride the wave of forensic crime dramas which threatens to engulf every moment of their schedule. It’s only a matter of time before they open up Morly Safer on 60 Minutes, before the title Two and a Half Men takes on a far more sinister meaning.

Whatever. We’ll all be watching amateur TV on our phones by this time next year.
