Adam Savage writes eloquently about the beauty of the special effect of BLADE RUNNER, which is celebrating a 25th anniversary this month. Among other things, he points out that in the pre-digital age, all those elaborate cityscapes had to be produced in camera. In those days, special effects were hard physical labor. Nowadays, they’re all done at cubicles.
