The cover of Nirvana’s breakthrough album NEVERMIND depicted a baby swimming towards a dollar bill. For the fifteenth anniversary of the album’s released, Rolling Stone restaged the photo shoot with the same kid, Spencer Elden.

“You still hear the singles being played on the radio and it just doesn’t sound dated. Most bands around today can’t even get near to what Nirvana did on that album, and I’ll always be happy to be a part of it.”

I wanna see this shot restaged 15 years from now, with Elden in his real-estate agent jacket swimming for an ATM card. And then in another 15 years; Elden, a little pudgy at 45 years old, swimming towards an RFID chip on a hook.

C’mon, we don’t get to watch Cobain age. Give me this at least.
