New iPhone Announced; Steve Jobs Ascends to Heaven

As a Mac guy I feel a knee-jerk compulsion to pass along Apple Corp news. Today at the WWDC conference in San Francisco Steve Jobs, the cool computer mogul, announced features of the 2nd Generation iPhone, and they’re sure to enrage people who bought the 1st Generation iPhone.

The new devices were launched by Apple boss Steve Jobs who said the phone would be “more affordable” for consumers, starting at $199. The new iPhone also comes with GPS satellite navigation built in for location-based services.

The iPhone was first launched last year and was criticised for its support for slower 2G networks only.

Mr Jobs said the 3G iPhone was “three times faster” downloading content over a mobile network compared to the original device.

Incredibly I myself do not have an iPhone because no matter how cool the hardware is, ATT coverage sucks in my area.  That exclusive contract can’t last forever though! The iPhone will be mine, oh yes it will.
